The extension uses local storage on your browser (`chrome.storage.local`) to save your search engine preferences and your theme selection (Dark or Light mode). This data stays on your device and is never sent to our servers or any third parties.

When you perform a search, the extension opens a new tab directed to the search engine(s) you have selected (e.g., Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, Yahoo). Your interaction with those websites is governed by their respective privacy policies.

4. Permissions & Functionality

The extension requests and utilizes the following to provide its core functionality:

• storage: Used locally on your device to save your engine preferences and theme selection.
• New Tab Override: Used to provide a centralized, premium search interface when you open a new tab.
• Search Provider Override: The extension may set a default search provider (powered by extensionlabs.tech) to allow you to search across multiple engines directly from the browser's address bar. This can be managed in your browser settings.
